Epicness of December

Hey guys! So on the 9th of December I'm going to be 21 years old! Therefore, December has to be an epic month for books too. Also, the year is soon ending and I cannot let it be "the end of the world" without reading these books! I'm only choosing books that I've been dying to read for a long time and that have a rating of 4 stars or higher on Goodreads. So here is the list! What do you guys think?!

I'm seeing a trend of blue going on.

  1. DEFINITELY read Daughter of Smoke and Bone, ASAP xD it should be the first one on your list because it will blow you away. One of my favorite reads of this year.

    I liked Under the Never Sky - really interesting world building and an awesome romance build up.

    The Selection I enjoyed as well - but you need to be careful to not go into it with wrong expectations, or you'll be really disappointed. The tagline "The Hunger Games meets the Bachelor" is incredibly deceptive - just assume it's like the Bachelor ;) There's hardly anything "dark" about the story at all, but it's a nice light, fluffy read.

    Across The Universe I personally did not enjoy - and halfway through the sequel I dropped the series, just gave up. But I think I'm an exception to this rule - I barely see anyone with the same opinion ^^;

    The others I haven't read yet but all (except Alice in Zombieland because... well... zombies. Ew.) are on my list :) Nice list!

    1. Thanks! Daughter of Smoke and Bone IS at the top of my list because my best friend raves about it so much, and so do you now, so I'm expecting it to be great!

      I've heard awesome things about all the other ones so I'm equally excited, I do want to go into The Selection with minimal expectations because I truly want to enjoy it.

      I really hope I enjoy Across the Universe because I've been dying to read it for so long! And I'm going to give Alice in Zombieland a try because I've never read a book with zombies in it, so I'm not sure what to expect but I'm hoping it's good too! I'm really excited for this! :D

    2. Hahaha, zombies just creep the hell out of me, I don't know if I could ever bring myself to read a book with them. Just the mere thought... *shivers* ugh.

      But I hope you enjoy it, hahaha ^^;

  2. I have read most of these and you are in for a treat. If you are looking for a good zombie read, Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick was really good. =)
